
Yoga for Teens
This 7-week class series is intended for high school students who are interested in discovering the practical benefits of yoga. Learn how this ancient practice can help train your body, mind and breath to create more balance in your life.
Build strength and flexibility, improve mobility, digestion, energy levels and sleep, and reduce stress and anxiety.
Incorporating aromatherapy and essential oils, classes will be structured around the 7 “chakras”, or energy centers of the body. Each class in this series will introduce you to one of the chakras, and give you tools to address issues associated with an imbalance in that chakra, specific to the teen years.
- Week 1 – Root Chakra: Safety, security, grounding
- Week 2 – Sacral Chakra: Emotions, creativity, finding your passion
- Week 3 – Power Chakra: Motivation, courage, energy, self-confidence
- Week 4 – Heart Chakra: Love, relationships, joy, forgiveness
- Week 5 – Throat Chakra: Communication, self-expression
- Week 6 – Third Eye Chakra: Intuitive wisdom, imagination
- Week 7 – Crown Chakra: Freedom, ultimate truth
Through gentle flowing yoga sequences and postures, breathwork, relaxation and meditation, you’ll build a toolkit of skills that you can integrate into your daily life.

$125 + HST for 7 week session.
If you have to miss a class, you’re welcome to make it up by attending one of the regularly scheduled studio classes, as long as the makeup class is taken before the end of the series. Please let us know if you’d like to book in for a make-up class. If you are a parent registering your teen, please set up the Mindbody account in their name.
If you have your own mat, we recommend you bring it, however mats are also available to use for free at the studio. You may wish to bring a blanket and dress in layers so you can adjust your temperature as needed.
